Palm Silhouettes — Woven Tapestry
The One With The Best Birthday Ever :: ended with this spectacular show! Being a February baby born + raised in the Midwest, most birthdays were snow-days stuck indoors. And for someone who hates being cold, I always dreamed of just one summer-filled birthday. So when we lived in California, I spent the day on the water whale watching followed by the yummiest Ethiopian dinner. And somehow the day even managed to end with the most epic sunset. ;) So, for the final week of #100daysofphotostofibers, I drew inspiration from this photo I took on the best birthday ever.
I set out to paint with fiber this breathtaking scene mixing all the bold + muted oranges, pinks, purples + blues. And then overstitched those whimsy palm silhouettes.
For #the100dayproject, my original photos will also be available for purchase. If you would like to purchase the print of the Palm Silhouettes, it is available here.
Size: 24.5”W x 34”H
Color: Black, Salmon, Peach, Melon, Peony, Coral, Hot Pink, Golden, Lilac, Purple, Orchid, Light Turquoise, Aqua, Ocean, + Teal on a reclaimed branch

With every sale, you choose a project you would like to support. My hope is that it would connect you to some incredible work that is being done around the world. Together, we are #knotjustthreads, we are an interwoven tapestry and when we come together, beautiful things can happen.
I have been intentional with the organizations I have chosen to support. I know that it is not only important to know where the money goes, but to know that the work is being done in sustainable ways to produce a long-lasting impact. Having personally partnered with each of these organizations in the field, I have seen how they practice love in action.
For more information about each organization, visit Our Connections.
